Since coming to ALASKA I have been fortunate in seeing places and things in a state that most people only dream about. I moved to CANTWELL 16 years ago from Wasilla. The picture of the little trailer and the beginning of a house is where it began. I stayed in the trailer while building the house. Pretty cramped I will admit, but well worth worth it in the end. Now 63 years old I have lived in this house since NEW YEARS EVE 1996. What an adventure. The little building attatched to the trailer housed every thing I owned. The 1st winter building we had near record snow fall. That kept me busy trying to get the lower half dried in. It quit snowing in January and I was back to work. Every time pay day came around I was off to town for more lumber, a lot of which came on top of the little white TOYOTA parked in the snow. Once I moved in it was kind of hollow. Like an echo. Nuthin here but me and the wind and snow. Sounds lonely but its not. I have the best neighbors anyone could ask for. I could go on and on with this but most of the following pictures will tell a lot. I guess what Im hoping to achieve here is the fact that if You have a dream, follow it. Dont keep putting it off. Any thing is possible if You only will.
My humble abode for 6 yrs.
Later on it was over the top of the truck.
